Slouchy sweaters

Wednesday 17 February 2010

are possibly one of my favourite things in all the world. I've always worn them with jeans but now that leggings and tights have entered my wardrobe, hurrah for the advent of the sweater dress!

I bought this one a few weeks ago, mainly because it was on sale (only £10, bargain) and I loved the colour. Didn't quite think through what I was going to wear it with, or whether it suited it me. Out came the debit card and home with me it came. I decided it was time to give it an airing today. Working with the limitations of my wardrobe, the outfit looks like so:

Dress - Dorothy Perkins
Black long line long sleeved tshirt - Dorothy Perkins
Leggings - M&S
Boots - Evans

What do you think? I'm not convinced that the boots entirely go with it but I needed a bit of height today and none of my heels were quite right.

Jewellery is from my inheritance - Grandma's jewellery box. None of it is worth anything but that's not the point, the memories are lovely and she had some fab quirky costume stuff. I love this ring, so sparkly and pretty.

Oh and I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who comments on here - it means a lot to me :)

  2. That's a really nice dress Alex. I love the leggings in boots look, but I don't have the body confidence to carry that off. You do it just great. x

  5. The leggings and dress look fab on you and the boots are a really cool and quirky touch. Hasn't DP come on a lot in the last year or so? There's some great pieces in there.
What lovely inherited jewellery, bet you think of your Grandma each time you wear them.

  8. Hey Alex, I have to completely agree with you there, movies are one of the main ways I've built up a pretty eclectic mix on my phone, and 10 Things I Hat About You is a very good example. Don't worry about the classical music again I've found it mainly through googling and what I've had reccomended to me. Youtube can be a good place to start, or look for some CDs on Amazon. xxx
