I'm a bit bored of those "what's in my bag" blog posts where everything is brand new and it's all cutesy-pie notebooks with matching pens and keyrings and there's nary a manky tissue or old receipt to be seen. If you're actually that tidy then more power to you. I'm not.
Here's what's really in the bag of a messy, disorganised person. Short answer: a lot of crap.
Long answer (and this doesn't even include my makeup bag):
The essentials - purse, keys, book. Where the hell is my phone though? It's part of the holy trinity. No matter how tiny the bag, it must fit purse, phone & keys in it.
All the spares - spare shoes, tights, socks, belt and brolly
The stuff I can never ever find. I swear my diary has one of those Harry Potter enchantments on it so it shrinks and hides at the bottom of the bag.
Yeah, hmm.

load of paper-based crap. This picture doesn't do justice to the amount of stuff there is.

As a bag should be! What is the anti blister stuff? is it any good?
ReplyDelete*chuckles* mine is much the same. I switched to a smaller bag to combat the problem and I have to say its made no difference what so ever. I just have to clear it out more often (and I can't fit shoes in it).
ReplyDeleteWow you carry a lot of stuff around with you. I try to keep the contents of my bag to a minimum, due to a bad shoulder and back - it still gets messy though lol!

ReplyDeleteMy bag is organised because of the pockets/compartments it has. I got it on holiday in Florence some years ago and it is the most wonderful handbag I have ever found. No bag would be able to fit spare shoes in for my massive feet but I do have sewing kit, first aid kit, multi-purpose tool (including pliers etc) and many other things to ensure I am equipped for pretty well any eventuality (apart from needing spare shoes, that is).

I love how much stuff is in your baggie! Totally the same. I used to have bucket loads of paper in my bags too; now I just take time out when I'm at the train station to get rid of them :) What perfume you using at the mo?
ReplyDeleteyou have all this in your bag?? Mine wouldn't be all pretty and neat either, I always have loads of old receipts floating about, broken pens and the odd 1p or 2p coin.. x

I think we could be bag twins. I'm always impressed by those who don't have a load of paper-based crap in their bag, but I do, right down to the dozens of receipts. I misplaced my keys right before leaving work yesterday evening and frantically emptied out most of what was in my bag. It wasn't pretty.

47 receipts, holy hell! No, my bag is one of those neat ones, but then I don't go far and don't go out often, so I can handle just carrying the bare phone/keys/purse/lipstick thing and change it every time. In saying that, even back in the day when I was a 'normal' person, I never carried that amount in my bag. Never had spare shoes/belt/tights, books, dvds, extra glasses etc I had this brill little makeup bag that was like Mary Poppins with absolutely every plaster, makeup, safety pin thing you could ever need.
