No, not the drink. My legs!

Here's what I love about autumn: COLOURS! I am officially obsessed with autumnal tones. Everything I'm buying at the moment is orange, green, rust, berry or burgundy. Can't get enough.

Here's what I don't love about autumn: piles of leaves in my usual posing spot. How rude! Especially when I had suede shoes on.

The frock was a complete impulse purchase. I ventured outside my usual shopping haunts and went to Belle Vale after A Thrifty Mrs tipped me off about cat print shoes on sale in Store 21. For non-Scousers, Belle Vale sounds lovely, doesn't it? All pretty fields and picturesque animals? Yeah, it's nothing like that. At all. It does have a Store 21 though and I really wanted those cat shoes. I got them, and whilst wandering to the till, spotted this beauty, marked up at 25% off. Did I mention I was mildly in love with orangey stuff right now? I appear to have hidden most of the panels of that colour with my cardi and/or jacket but trust me, they're there.

  4. I'm loving autumnal colours too, never really worn orange with my hair but I have some similar coloured tights.
My sister used to work in store 21 and she got some gorgeous stuff (even cheaper with staff discount) I very rarely see anything though, definetely not come across this beauty or I would have snapped it up xxx

  5. Hello! I've been reading your blog for a few weeks now and love it. Your outfits are always so stylish! I used to teach in Toxteth and Childwall! I found a fab blog this week that gives the best tutorials on how to style your hair and having read your last post thought I'd mention it. I have long fine hair that I haven't been able to tame and ss far as I'm concerned the lovely lady that writes the blog I found has done a public service as I can leave the house with a seriously stylish "do" now! I'm posting a blog post about it tomorrow so pop by if you get chance. Em x

  10. Oh Belle Vale...you brave thing ;-) I suppose it was worth it for those amazing cat print shoes and this dress though! My autumn palette always has lots of mustard yellow in it, I'm not a fan of orange on my own skin tone but it suits you :)

  12. your jacket and dress with those bold tights. I swear I cannot find any thick coloured tights in anything other than black, navy and burgandy in my town. There is a conspiracy!
Oh and suede shoes are a pain to wear aren't they? I have to triple check the forecast before leavin the house in mine :s

  14. The cat shoes make me sad, because they were oh so rudely out of my size.

Loving the dress you picked up though and looking gorgeousness with the jacket-dress-tights combo. Your hair looks lovely in these piccies also queridita.

  21. Great dress - looks fab with orange tights. My favourite dress is orange (currently sitting in the mend pile though...) and purchased on a whim - they're definitely the best kind.
