It's raining.
Are we surprised? Thought not.
I was all set to cancel today's outfit photos but then I discovered a brolly that matched it beautifully so, undeterred, I headed out at lunchtime and got snapping. It's a cute dress: it deserves to be photographed every now and then.
Sadly I couldn't do anything about the wind and ended up with hair plastered all over my lippy. Sigh. One day I might grow up and be the soignee type who has perfect red lipstick and hair that does what it's told. For now, I can't even control a flipping umbrella. Double sigh.

Ooh, I do like a bit of red, white and blue.
ReplyDeleteI adore the mix of fabrics and colour. The stripy blouse looks fab with that dress. I refuse to get attached to any brolly, as I always end up breaking them. My Cath Kidston one ended up head down in a littler bin, I was not impressed to say the least x
ReplyDeletevery very cute......am myself going autumn early this year!!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit, it's completely perfect. Alice - my Cath Umbrella has broken as well, the handle thing keeps coming apart =(
ReplyDeleteBow Dream Nation xx
I am in awe of that gorgeous shirt. The shirt and dress go together a treat and it's one of my favourite looks on you :)
ReplyDeleteThe weather today has been terrible! So windy and blustery. This outfit is lovely though, I love the pinafore dress.
ReplyDeleteI adore red/wht/blue!Gorge frock, and the blouse is to die for!!! I get hair in my lippy all the time!So annoying, but perfection's over rated anyway!
ReplyDeleteXXXXXXXXX
Very cute ensemble with the brolly and shoes! LOVE the bookmark from the previous post btw - AWESOME!!! XX
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely outfit and perfect for the British summer. I definitely need to invest in a pretty brolly, I know it would get loads of use.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit, pinafore dresses are lovely. I like the third photo especially.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab outfit! Adore the shirt and dress, they go together so well.
ReplyDeleteI love newlife, think i need to go soon!
X x
Haha good matching! I'm hopeless with brollies too, actually stopped buying them now and just go everywhere with my raincoat :)
ReplyDeleteThe dress is just lovely and, as an enthusiastic coordinator, I love the matching brolly too! Thanks for your alternative opinion on 'One Day' by the way, I'll let you know my verdict when I'm done with it!x
ReplyDeleteI really love your outfit, it's so fun and cute (:
ReplyDeleteLove that blouse and the brolly!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, absolutely brollietastic! I also think you could turn one of those pics in to a blog head, they are rather perfect
ReplyDeleteI do hate liplash, nothing worse than hair sticking to my lipstick!
ReplyDeleteThat blouse is such a beautiful shape on you, Alex. I can't believe the change in the weather, from blisteringly hot on Friday to needing woolly socks today...arghhhh!! xx
Love how it all matches! Sounds like my life, brolly going everywhere, hair stuck to lips, etc. The dress is great and love the cuff detailing on the shirt xx
ReplyDelete"Brolly - lost property" - love that! You look gorgeous, if not particularly summery, and those shoes are so cute! xx
ReplyDeleteI am constantly attacked by my hair when I try and take outside photos! So annoying!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty outfit, love the detailing on the shirt cuffs!
You look a real cutie in this outfit!
ReplyDeleteYou're right it does deserve to be photographed once in a while.
ReplyDeleteI do hate it when the wind plays havoc with your lip gloss... men, don't have these issues!
I do love this querida. Such a nice outfit and perfection for this horrendous weather due to kick in again tomorrow. And who needs perfect lipstick when you look this good?
ReplyDeleteI love the way the colours match each other and that dress is really pretty. That's a shame about the vintage festival, when I heard about it I thought it would have been brilliant. xxx
ReplyDeleteyou look adorable!!
ReplyDeleteN'arr there is something so satisfying about matching even the littlest details of an outfit, love this brolly sweets! I bought one last week which was a bit of a revelation (normally I'm a hood-up-and-run sort of girl), and it's clear so you can actually see where you're going!!! .. Well I was amazed :) ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad
ReplyDeleteTights? In August? It's not right!!
ReplyDeleteVery patriotic at this time of mass unrest.
