I remember, not so very long ago, that I was griping loudly on here about shorts not suiting me. But I find blogging is very good for making you expand your fashion horizons. I took the plunge and bought a pair in the Gap sale last year.
I was an immediate convert. Then I went nuts and bought the infamous H&M ones in both red and navy.
And I've even plucked up the courage to wear my shortest and most madly patterned pair.
Want to see my new pair? I went bold with these ones. Prepare yourself for some orange shorty goodness:
They're definitely drawing comments from the people at work! It must be the colour of them because everyone should be used to me getting my legs out by now. I do love a bit of orange.
Shorts - George @ Asda sale
Top - Matalan
Cardi - H&M via charity shop
Shoes - Dolcis, ancient
Wristy thing - silk scarf

I think you look really nice in these shorts - especially with those chunky black shoes you have on in one of the earlier photos.
ReplyDeleteShorts suit you so well, your legs always look amazing in them! I'm loving the orange and the red ones most (especially with your mad shoes ;) x
ReplyDeleteYou definately have the legs for shorts Alex! Love the tweed pair and your new orange beauties :)
ReplyDeleteYou've got fabulous legs, Alex! I'm always pleased when I see you rocking shorts on your blog. Loving the accessories, as you know I'm partial to a spot of orange. x
ReplyDeleteYou look fab in shorts, i love the orange :) x
ReplyDeleteThese are fab! I know what you mean about blogging being good for expanding style horizons... I've been converted to pattern mixing since my last Everybody, Everywear challenge and I never, ever thought I'd wear coloured jeans but I'm planning the purchase of my second pair...
ReplyDeleteI love orange, its a colour made to make you smile x
You've definitely got the legs for shorts Alex ! (wolf-whisles)
ReplyDeleteI can't decide which ones are my favourite, they're all fabulous xx
You're looking super-good - keep it up with the shorts! (or keep the shorts up, whichever you prefer!) xxx
ReplyDeleteLookin' verri nice'ah!
ReplyDeleteCarrads' comment above made me laugh!
Love that picture of Titch in your previous post; he's a cutie isn't he?
Z xx
I love you in shorts. The orange ones are fabulous but the red ones remain my favourites
ReplyDeleteOrange or Coral? You look great in all those shorts and I really love the orange ones. So cheery with the grey skies around at the mo. Also like the accessories ( especially the "wristy thing"!) Why not try some orange nail varnish? I bought some last year to go with a coral ( orange) dress and have never had so many compliments. Weird.
ReplyDeleteyou rock shorts! x
ReplyDeleteShorts really do SUIT you. I think people often dismiss shorts as being ‘too short’ and ‘exposing’ when really worn appropriately they look great. The H&M ones are my fave xxx
ReplyDeleteThose are all fabulous!!! None of my shorts are fitting anymore.. Must lay off the sweets a bit.. at least until they fit again :)
ReplyDeleteI love all the colors and fun they add to your wardrobe!
You really do suit your shorts, it's so good to see you with the confidence to wear things that you previously would have shied away from - keep showing those fab legs! xxx
ReplyDeleteyou look fab in shorts and your new orange pair are just lovely! Your whole outfit is full of orangey treats. x
ReplyDeleteNice outfits. First one is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly tasteful. And very pretty on you! Before I scrolled down to the picture I was thinking, "interesting..." (To be said with a sinister lisp)
ReplyDelete....ooh, that read like you aren't usually tasteful, I didn't mean that- I was referring to orange!
ReplyDeleteThey look great with the flowered top and the chocolate. Mmm, chocolate orange, delicious!
ReplyDeleteHoney you look FAB!
ReplyDeleteYou have stunning legs, no wonder you got comments. The colour combination is fabulous.
I'm definitely feeling a bit of hair envy, it looks stunning.

I'm a big fan of orange. Liking the wristy thing too. xx
ReplyDeleteOh i really like those, the colour is really nice and bright and matches the floral print nicely :)
ReplyDeleteYou suit shorts so much! And they always look much classier than skirts the same length. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the first pair, can see them coming out soon, summer is official OVAH!!
xx
oh my gosh i love the red shorts!! i bought my first pair of shorts last weekend in three years, i cant wait till it warms up enough to wear them.
ReplyDeleteI think they really suit you!
ReplyDeleteThat orange colour is really flattering on you too.
I literally love that you've embraced the fact that shorts DO suit you, & in fact you look damn good in 'em! I wish that my legs looked half as good as yours in shorts. (My favourites are still the red I think - if you're interested! They're amazing on you.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment - the DPs order: they sent me one of my items in a totally wrong size. There was also an item missing entirely (a belt). They reckon the only way for me to actually get this item (that I've paid for btw), is to place a whole new order (which would obv include p+p). Which obviously I wasn't going to do, for a belt. (Which by the way, is out of stock now anyway, as is the dress I wanted which they sent the wrong size) - but annoyingly, more than a month later, I still haven't received the refund for the item they didn't send me.
They just do my head in. Like I said, it seems to be every single time I order, something like this happens. I don't think I've ever had an order from them that's actually been right first time. (My fault for keep bloody buying from them! I just get suckered in by the sales, however hard I try to resist!)
That's my little rant over! But that's why I'm trying to avoid them..
