2) I can't reverse in a straight line. Just can't do it.
3) I entertain myself in daydreams by thinking about characters I create. I have a feeling the current story may turn into a novel one day. I just need the discipline to plot it and write it - I think episodically, not coherently.
4) My two most loathed words are moist and moreish. On principle, I won't buy anything that's advertised using the latter word.
5)I have the tattiest hair in all the world. I beat it into submission and then five minutes later it's full of knots again. This, and various childhood hairbrushing traumas are why I actively loathe people touching my hair. It makes me shudder.
Pre-beating
6) I can't stop listening to When It's Time by Green Day
7) When I am drunk I am always taking off my specs and putting them somewhere odd (probably because I always think it's a good idea to put more eyeliner on). Tipsy Alex LOVES her eyeliner.
I think I'm technically meant to pass this onto 7 other bloggers but I'm terrible at keeping track of who has done it and who hasn't. So if you haven't and you want to, consider yourself tagged!
I can completely agree with you on points 1,2&3!! x
ReplyDeleteHi Alex, I disagree with point 5. I have the tattiest hair in the world (plus it's curly and mad). There, I've said it! As for reversing in a straight line? It's impossible.
ReplyDeleteGreat facts, its great getting to know you - this is what I love most about these awards!
ReplyDeleteFabulous facts, Alex! My hair went through a dreadfully tangly stage but I think I may have passed through the other end unscathed.
ReplyDeleteI love the eyeliner look. xxx
I love the alarm names, especially the lazy mare final alarm. :) Same with the dreams, I can wake up then go back and be in the same dream and carry on. Great!
ReplyDeleteReversing in a straight line. I can, but I can't parallel park, reverse park and generally squeal like a pig when trying to park my car.
xx
Love the alarms hehe, think i need to do that ;).
ReplyDeleteSadie x
Hehe, I used to have the tattiest hair in the world, until I cut it all off. Honestly, why did I spend 17 years wrestling with knots every single morning, only for it to turn into frizz? I think I want to go drinking with tipsy Alex, she sounds like fun x
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. Don't mention the M-word (the first one) it makes me feel so ill, it's just wrong and it certainly shouldn't be used to ever describe food.
ReplyDeleteYeah my alarm first goes off at 6.15am to ensure that I vaguely get up in time for 7am which only gives me time to brush teeth and put clothes on before setting off for work!
Ha, one of my good frineds hates the word moist too - so much, in fact, that we're not allowed to utter it in her presence! Love your alarm names too. The snooze button is my best friend but I'm trying to ween myself of it! Sally x
ReplyDeletehahahahahaha. ha. at your 8.12am alarm! if i haven't left the house by then it's ;official i will be late for work :( but luckily i am a bit of a sleep-free freak as you know!
ReplyDeletei will try to think of 7 facts to do this - it sounds fun! xx
Hey I do that too with dreams! As a result my alarm usually goes off a full hour before I have to be up, just too good at pressing the snooze button.... :)
ReplyDeleteMy mum hates 'moist', She banned it when we were teenagers, in our house it was on a par with swearing. I'd get my friends to say it when they came over (not obviously to annoy, they just slipped it in) and we watched her cringe. And she couldn't impose her weird rules on other people's children. Oh, how I laughed.
ReplyDeleteThis morning I turned my alarm off and went back to sleep.
I love your alarms! I annoy everyone in the house as I'm always awake before my alarm but forget to un-set it.
ReplyDeleteI usually set about 3 alarms simply because I ignore the first one and most likely the second one. Even though I know I have to get up. I'm glad it's not only me.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of people applying more lippy when drunk...but eyeliner is certainly a fun one x
Whilst I'm obvious;y not plased that you have such hair trauma, I'm glad I'm not the only one. Why oh why does it seem to have the urge to imitate the world's contortioinist. WHY!
ReplyDeleteI love your list of alarms on your phone, my boyfriend does the same, it drives me crazy though!
ReplyDeleteMy alarm would be no good for you then Alex. I hate being woken by loud noises so I have a clock radio but have the sound very low so it's barely a whisper.
ReplyDeleteHow great to be able to get back into your dreams, I wish I could do that.
Tipsy Alex loves eye liner...hahahaha. That made me chuckle! Secretly, my dream is to write a book. A memoir, so to speak. Eeep! if you do it, I'll do it ;)
ReplyDeleteDearest Alex, loved your answers. I hate getting up too. I have tangly hair and hate the word moist. You should write a book, it'd be great! xx
ReplyDeleteFab facts Alex. Am totally disturbed that you set an alarm for 8.12am but then thats my craziness there.
ReplyDeleteLove tipsy Alex and her eyeliner. And I'd so buy your book!
x
I am also totally crap at getting up, even though I live closer to work than anyone else in my department I am still last in (and usually late) every day. I constantly snooze my alarm and tend it actually get up at the very last minute.
ReplyDeletePeople always ask me why I don't just set my alarm later, but every night I have good intentions of getting up early and doing my hair and make-up properly....but alas it never happens, maybe one day!
Great answers sweetie, thanks for sharing! xxx

Oh I wish I had your dream-ability! What a super power to have! But then again I struggle to get up enough without it...
ReplyDeletePS I found an issue of Oh Comely in the airport at the weekend - totally love it, thanks for the recommendation! x
p.s Thanks for the link to the Oh Comely websibe, I thinking about subscribing, it seems like a bargain for only £18 for a yearly subscription :)
ReplyDeleteThanks again! xxx
I've never heard that song before but LOVE it! Really like your blog too, keep up the good work lid :P xx
ReplyDeletei reckon my knotty hair would put yours to shame miss! battle of the knots! oh and im not terrible at reverse parking, but bay parking - that i simply cannot do x
ReplyDeleteGAAAAH I HATE getting up in the mornings too! I am such a night owl. Loved getting to know all these things about you, Alex!
ReplyDeleteRe. wedding plans, they're on track for now (and so I should think, with the actual day on Saturday), but I'm still very stressed! :-)
You are irrefutably adorable. It's true.
ReplyDeleteTipsy Lisa likes to dance on speakers. That's embarrassing.
You should make the novel happen! One of my best friends is doing a creative writing course to give herself the discipline to keep writing (she's a few chapters in now). What an amazing achievement it would be to get published. I'm sure you'll do it one day. xx
ReplyDeleteHaha Alex! 'You lazy mare'! That made me laugh out loud:P My hair used to be really bad as well and then , I don't even know what happened, but since I left it to grow really long, it's gotten all quiet and obedient! :)
ReplyDeleteok 1 and 3 could have been written by me! i have to set at least 4 alarms for every morning and i've been using the same characters in my daydreams since i was about 12 :) x
ReplyDeleteO,you are totally gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI can also pick up dreams where I left off!
And I'm totally with you on 5.I get really shitty with this behaviour! So I often don't brush it for days!
Tipsy Helga loves her lipliner....
Love! xxx
Haha love the facts :) My hair looks quite minging in the morning too, and sometimes goes static which is fun too. xx
ReplyDeleteOMG a Green Day fan, yeah!!! I adore Green Day, my favourite band for 10 years now =) my friends went to NYC especially to see Billie Jo Armstrong play St Jimmy in the musical. I would have gone if I hadn't been so broke =( Your alarms made me laugh!!!!
ReplyDeleteHannah xx
Hee hee, love your alarm clock messages! I can't reverse in a straight line either. What IS that?! x
ReplyDeleteYour alarms make me laugh! I have three, and sometimes that's still not enough.
ReplyDeletePS Yay for eyeliner!
Haha I completely agree with you on several of your points here!! :D
ReplyDeleteSal xXx
Congratulations on your award Alex! I'm sorry I haven't commented for so long, but I sent your letter off a few days ago, did you get it?! And I agree, moist sends shivers down my spine! xxx
ReplyDeletehaha Scott is the same with his alarms! He has 4 but snoozes them every time too. I find it very annoying.
