Ever have one of those day when the camera just will not cooperate? It managed one not-entirely-hideous full length photo out of about 50. Thankfully I had better luck with the closeups.
Dress - Warehouse sale, £10 reduced from £45. Must buy more summer dresses during the winter sales!
Cardi - New Look
Bangle - via Oxfam
Shoes - Primark
Necklace - present
First the camera was baffled by the sun and shade:
Then the self timer stopped, I went to investigate and it took photos of me looking mardy with MASSIVE knees:
Then it chopped my legs off, but this isn't really a bad thing as I had very weirdly chubby shins in a lot of the other photos:
Then it was double chin a-go-go in the rest of the photos. Unsurprisingly, I'm not showing you those ones.
I'm off to sit somewhere cool and sip much Prosecco. It's 33 chuffing degrees today and everywhere is unpleasantly oven-like.
How did I not spot this at the sale?! I totally want it! It's been hard to find a properly Erdem inspired frock. I tried the ones at New Look, Primark, and Dorothy Perkins but no go. I would have liked to try this one. You look super in it, even with the dodgy camera shots. The first is quite all right, very candid. :)

That is one pretty frock and you've accessorised it fabulously. The sunshine is dreadful for my blog photos, too. Everything's bleached out and weird.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your booze in the sun, I'll be doing the same in a bit. xxx
I always seem to have those days where the camera makes me look hideous! Lovely dress, perfect with those shoes :) Enjoy the Prosecco! xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the wonky shots, made me smile! That dress is so lovely, I totally have something like that in my mind's eye for some fabric I have, just need to magic it up somehow! HAve a lovely weekend xx

Haha I feel your pain...I always have so much camera trouble! Your outfit makes me think 'yaaay summer' - let's hope it lasts, ey?x
ReplyDeleteTaking photos sucks doesn't it. It is a lovely dress though, the sunshine will cooperate next time xx
ReplyDeleteI thank God I have Matt to take my outfit photos, as I'm unbelievable horrendous at taking my own. I really like this dress, I've seen similar in Oasis recently, so you did well with that bargain!
ReplyDeleteLove that you've included the outtakes- they're so cute in their own right and I totally feel your pain with the non-cooperative camera- we've all been there for sure!
xxx Maddie
Really lovely dress - I keep seeing winter stuff in the sale and not buying it at the moment because summer dresses are tempting me - but I think you've got the right idea with those sort of reductions :) x

Loving the style - both what you are wearing and how you're keeping your cool after work!
ReplyDeleteHave a glass for me!
Is the bloggers meet-up still happening? Or shall I come up to Liverpool to see you next Saturday?!!
Z xx
That frock is soooo sweet!
ReplyDeleteYeah, cameras can be hard work! I mostly get G to take pix,and he always reminds me to stretch out my neck so I don't get the dreded double chin effect!! (Harvey just came to say hello!)
Actually,G and and I have just been perusing a few posts,he's having a "I want to see what all your blog friends have been up to "moment!
He agrees with me that you have great taste in shoes especially!Ttttttt(that was Harvey)
Love!!! XXXX
That dress is beautiful, and really suits you :)

That's a very pretty dress, love the colour.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this whole outfit!! It makes me want to have a picnic. Or go to eat on a patio of a lovely cafe. Or to the library. :) See? I like it very much!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. Yes, I was a bit criptic. Mainly, it was intended to be that way for my USA readers who can figure out where I work/my job, etc. I don't necessarily care if my regular readers know, but I'm not too fond of people I work with catching onto the blog!
Just stumbled on your blog AH IT HAS THE CUTEST NAME EVER. Also, you are adorable. Yellow is my favourite colour. Therefore, I DESPERATELY WANT YOUR DRESS. Also, that is way cuteeee.

That dresses beautiful. Extremely summery. What a bargain too. Summer shopping in winter sales is the way to go.
ReplyDeleteWhy do cameras never cooperate when you want them too?!
Enjoy your weekend Hun.

You are far too self critical Alex! I adore your dress and cute cardi. Super look :)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so pretty and such a bargain :)
ReplyDeleteLove that dress...what a bargain! I really need to think about buying a season ahead x
ReplyDeleteHahaha - you are funny!!
ReplyDeleteI agree re buying things out of season you get bargains. I hope you've been enjoying your prosecco in the chuffing heat! xx
LOooovely lovely frock! At first I thought the print was lemons (very on trend atm but I fear it is a micro-trend that will fade) but happily this gorgeous floral print will be beautiful year on year. Aaah I hate photo days like that! I've moved back home for the summer so I'm still stumbling around my house trying to find the perfect outfit shot space :( ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad
ReplyDeletegorgeous dress, you look lovely. self timer is such a pain that why I try and get someone to take pictures for me. hope you enjoyed the prosecco and the heat =)
ReplyDeleteBow Dream Nation xx
I do have those days but usually it is my face which wont cooperate lol. Your dress has such a great print x
ReplyDeleteThat dress is adorable dear, the colours are perfect and you look so cute. I have the same problem with my self timer, I always have to take about 40 photos to get 4 decent pictures, but I still feel too uncomfortable to pose infront of other people on a regular basis xxx
ReplyDeleteOoh prettiness! I love Warehouse sales, its one of few places I have a slight weakness for! I can sympathise with the camera probs, my DSLR in particular has a life of its own sometimes... :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty frock. I'm so jealous as it's freezing in Scotland. Really starting to get me down :( xx
ReplyDeleteHaha, I have some terrible outfit shots! I'm too lazy to take loads though so I just suck it up and put 'em on!
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern on the dress and you're so lucky to have had that lovely hot weather, we got rain today. I can't even take photos of myself on my camera, I just end up looking huge! I think you look lovely and I love the pastel colours. xxx
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this blog post I thought "What a gorgeous dress!!!" Warehouse, I should have known! I love their dresses. What a bargain at £10. I like your cardigan and accessories too.
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely summer outfit and the accessories are perfect.
ReplyDeleteDon't even talk to me about this timer thing. I'm buying a new camera with a remote when I get some money (don't hold your breath) every time I've tried to use I look vile. I'll stick to the mirror, for now.
Hope you enjoyed your Prosecco xx
I want your dress...and I want a glass of prosecco....now! ;) xxx
ReplyDeletesuper cute outfit, even if it did take you a while to get your shots you still love adorable!
