The Most Apt Gift. Ever.

Saturday 6 August 2011

I got an unexpected envelope in the post today. Officially one of my favourite things ever, unless it contains bills, but this didn't, hurrah! It bore the legend of Kandipandi on the back so I knew that something amazing would be inside. Oh I was not disappointed. It contained this:

I laughed so hard when I opened it that I nearly fell off the sofa.

Lisa, I love you. And you really don't need to worry about it offending me. I am, after all, the proud owner of a similarly themed mug and eyemask:

(I am friendly, honest! Quite fond of the F word though.)

The bookmark is the first thing on my packing list for my trip to Edinburgh in a couple of weeks. If anyone on the coach annoys me I shall flourish it at them and give them The Glare. No-one comes between me and my reading.

  8. Absolutely love the sentiment - but I would add elastic and make it into a headband so anyone approaching could see it. Why oh why do people think it's OK to interrupt me when I'm reading? Great stuff, Alex!

  9. what a thoughtful present, how lovely. I am a very polite person as a rule but do like to use the f word once in a while. Just as an exclaimation really.

  14. That is brilliant. One of the worst things when you're reading is to be interrupted. What a genius gift to get sent through the post! And I'm too old for the caterpillar myself, but I am also of the attitude where I still cling to childhood! xxx
