Feeling Eccentric

Friday, 11 January 2013

I am feeling extremely flubbery at the moment.  Particularly after checking back through the blog to look at the last time I wore this shirt and realising just how much weight I've put on since then.  Doom.  It's not as if I've suddenly put on nine stone over Christmas or anything - that other post is from about 18 months ago and was right at the end of my hardcore diet phase - but work needs to be done now!  I'm not getting fat again.  It's not going to happen.

There are two solutions when feeling like this.  Either hide behind jeans and a hoody or dress yourself like a complete eccentric and hope people are too busy laughing at admiring your hair/massive lapels/incredibly orange jumper to notice the extra rolls of flab.  I went for the latter option.  Mainly because I've thrown all my jeans away and I'm not buying any more until I can get to a Levi's shop.

I can always rely on shoes though. These amazing boots were a present from my brother and his fiancee at Christmas. And I think he was responsible for choosing them, not her!  Good work, big bro!  I love them.

Fancy heel!
Coat - Kookai via car boot sale

  4. That's a gorgeous coat you're wearing! Despite everyone thinking that diets begin in January I think they should wait til the lighter evenings - dark nights, freezing weather and post festive misery is not conducive to salads and low fat produce...

  10. I know how you feel, I was so proud losing 20lbs and over the past few months I've put at least 11 of it back on. It feels like such a step backwards especially as I still have so much to lose. I forced myself to read back my 'body confidence' post because I was in a good place mentally when I wrote that. I'm just trying not to let it get me down too much, but it's especially difficult when you're posting daily outfit shots like we do. I still have those days when I feel fat and nothing fits, but then other days I can browse the pictures I've taken and figure I don't look too bad in them. I'm determined not to put all the weight back on though (some clothes already don't fit me) and I really need to work at getting back to what I was. P.S. Love your coat and your hair like that : )

  12. I know how you feel in terms of putting on weight- over the past 9 months it has been creeping on and it is so depressing! I am sloooooowly turning that around but accessories have been my friends recently! Love this outfit though, especially with your hair like that!
