Ever feel like you've just rolled around in your wardrobe and walked out of the house dressed in whatever happened to stick to you? Yesterday was one of those days. Looking back at the photos though, I actually quite like it.
I'm not sure who I pinched the idea of layering fishnets over coloured tights from - I know it's one of the MSE gang but for the life of me I can't remember who. Thank you though! I love it, especially chocolate brown over purple (aka Cadbury legs)
Coat - Monsoon
Vest - Zara, via a friend
Cardi - Primark
Skirt - from a vintage fair.
Tights - bottom pair Dorothy Perkins, fishnets Evans
Pumps - New Look
ps - The technology situation has not improved. The pc is diabolically slow and took TWELVE MINUTES to go from one photo to another in picture viewer yesterday, at which point I lost my rag and went to bed instead. I think a new laptop is an absolute must. Or perhaps a netbook? Does anyone blog from a netbook? I don't see the point in shelling out for a full laptop when I'm going to be using it mostly for the internet and a bit of writing.
I love this look! As I've said before, you do know how to colour coordinate, so I love to see outfits where you've thrown a whole heap of things together. I sometimes do the lace tights over opaques too, it gives a few more options for winter! I REALLY like the skirt, and the gorgeous velvet coat x
ReplyDeleteLove it, you look so autumnal (sp?!) the colours look great together.
ReplyDeleteWhat nail varnish have you got on? it's fab!
xx
Me! Me! It's what we did in 1980's Walsall during Sixth Form.
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit, I love the clashy-clashy look. The skirt is wonderful and the coat is to die-for. You have such innate style. xxx
I love the print and colour of this Alex x
ReplyDeleteI think this whole outfit looks great together, Alex!! The coat is lovely, and the tights work so well, and I love the nail polish!
ReplyDeleteI have a netbook, but no internet at home means I rarely ever use it, I think it would be fine to blog from tho if I did have! :)
That's such a pretty outfit. I love the coat so so soooo much and tights on tights is great. Where did you get your chocolate brown fishnets from? I searched and searched for some nude ones the other day to no avail
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt and love the coat even more - very autumnal as someone else said! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that at first glance your outfit looks completely eclectic but it actually all matches - the colours! And yes, it's so autumny :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your continuing comp problems. I've never blogged from those little netbooks but I imagine they would be quite handy! As long as they have usb ports for uploading photos etc, I don't see why there'd be any need for a full blown laptop. Let us know what you decide!
I like it!
ReplyDeleteI do the fish nets over coloured tights thing too, I have maroon fishnets over mustard woolen tights today.
oh i love the color of your cardigan! and good idea on layering the tights, i have not seen that before.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally stealing the fishnets over coloured tight look. Where do you get your coloured tights from? I've tried Primark and they're a really odd shape and never fit : (

I love the mix of colours, fabrics and pattern. A carefree ensemble like this is often a fashionable outcome. I think you look great, the skirt has such an autumn feel to it x
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this outfit, especially the top, nail varnish and gorgeous gorgeous coat. Green is good. x
ReplyDeleteHaha liked the way you put that, rolling around in clothes, think thats what happens to me most days! Altho I generally have an item in mind I want to wear then just throw on whatever seems to go with it :)
ReplyDeleteThat outfit shouts Autumn, I love it. That skirt covered in leaves is so pretty and I adore the coat and looovvve your cabury legs!!
ReplyDeleteKandi x
your outfit is very autumnal! i really love the colour of the coat
ReplyDeleteeverything is Accessorzie is seems so luxurious to me, I love it:) xx
Ohhh i love the clashing tights and pumps together, so pretty x
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit, doesn't look like a mish mash at all to me. I know what you mean about bloody computers. Ours has just died a death. I've spent hours trying to sort it out but I've given up now and am using the laptop. Very cross to say the least.
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt! So so so pretty.
ReplyDeleteDear Alex, I love the print on the skirt and the tights together!
ReplyDeleteI would advise getting a Mac on interest free credit from the Mac Shop. I don't know why anyone bothers with PC's when Mac's are a billion times better, more fun to use, have tons more features and are immune to viruses. My old flatmate got one and I think she pays £30 a month xx
Cadbury legs, Cadbury legs! Will be copying that look vv soon. Thanks for the tip re fishnet over opaques. Brilliant. Love the nail varnish also - what is it? Actually your whole outfit was so autumnal- velvety/jewel colours - yum. NB I also really want the answer to netbook v laptop as I need to upgrade soon.
ReplyDeleteI loved the vest and then I was like 'of course- Zara'.. it's my other partner for life! Is it possible that I literally love everything they do? Uhm, dunno, but I do so.. But I love the skirt and vest together! It looks really good indeed.
ReplyDeleteThat's a genius outfit! Everything goes so perfectly and yet it looks like it shouldn't.
ReplyDeletexx

ReplyDeleteCan't ehlp with the technical shit,I'm totally techno-phobic!!!

I'm loving this outfit Alex. I think it's fun, mis-mash but at the same time coordinated. And you look confident in it which I love!
ReplyDeleteI do tights like that sometimes. I like the flash of colour from under fishnets!
